Who we are
Banking Acumen PTY (LTD) is the responsible party for the personal information described here. Our Information Officer is Angus Brown, who you can reach at angusjbrown@gmail.com or on +27798722922.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, and your message, plus your company and phone number if you choose to give them.
- Technical information: our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The LinkedIn posts shown on the site are loaded by our server, so your browser does not connect to LinkedIn unless you click through to it.
Why we process it
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss how we can help. You supply this information voluntarily, and we process it to take steps you have asked for and in our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your information or add you to marketing lists.
Who we share it with
- Netlify, which hosts the site and processes form submissions.
- Google, whose Gmail service receives the email that notifies us of your message.
Both may process information outside South Africa, including in the United States. We use them because they are bound by agreements that provide an adequate level of protection, as section 72 of POPIA requires.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then deleted. If you become a client, we keep what we need for the engagement and for any legal or regulatory obligations.
Your rights
You may ask whether we hold your personal information and request a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we process it. Contact our Information Officer using the details above.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
